Style of an English Major

Going back to school after spring break, I was excited to finish my final quarter of my first year of college.  A new quarter means new classes, new people, and new wardrobe! I brought home all my thick, dark winter clothes in favor of light, colorful ones.  As an english major, I read a lot. This quarter, my friend Jenna and I have the great pleasure of taking our next required English class: 16th and 17th Century English Literature (if you didn’t catch it- yes, this is sarcasm).  To get through the difficult texts of Beowulf and Shakespeare, Jenna and I take much needed breaks in the sculpture garden behind our classroom.  After each very exciting lecture (again- sarcasm), we love to lay in the garden, read our homework, and take pictures of our daily outfits. We love spicing up the dull classroom setting by dressing up and trying out new trends we’ve seen.

So, stay tuned for many more Style of an English Major posts featuring our weekly outfits from our after lecture breaks!

You can find Jenna’s outfits on our UCLA fashion and lifestyle blog (What’s Bruin?) and also on her own personal style blog: Magenta Jen. DSC_0826Make sure to check out Jenna’s new blog- you’ll love her!
